Smart contracts
Steady is built to be easy to work with. Because STDY and wSTDY are standard ERC-20 tokens, integrating Steady is, for most purposes, no different from integrating any other ERC-20. Rebase also makes everything simple, there are no proprietary interfaces, no staking flows, no claim mechanics. This section is a quick technical reference and a look at the developer tooling we're building.

STDY and wSTDY are deployed as native, independent contracts on each supported network. There is no bridge between networks — see Supported networks & standards for why.
Token Standards
- STDY — ERC-20, with rebase mechanics built into its supply. Balances change automatically at the protocol level to reflect the performance of the underlying. The one behavior to account for:
balanceOfreturns the current rebased balance and can change without an explicit transfer. - wSTDY — ERC-20, non-rebasing. Fixed balance, with value reflected through price appreciation instead of supply growth. Behaves like any standard static-balance ERC-20, which makes it the cleaner choice for protocols that don't natively handle rebasing tokens.
